The Pittsburgh Steelers were hopeful that they would get back star left guard Isaac Seumalo against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4. However, after initially being listed as doubtful, Seumalo is now officially out and will have to wait at least another week to make his season debut.

This means that it will either be Spencer Anderson or rookie Mason McCormick will get the start. However, considering the Steelers began rotating McCormick in amidst Anderson not playing well, I’d bet McCormick will be the one who gets the nod and officially earns his first start in the NFL. The Steelers took McCormick in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of South Dakota State.

Missing Seumalo has certainly affected the Steelers’ run game, which currently is averaging less than four yards per carry and is 30th in success rate.
