Welcome to Week 5 of Steelers Reacts. After finally losing a game, there’s plenty to talk about regarding the black and gold. Will confidence in the team finally take a hit after rising to 92% last week?
Beyond that, we’ll be asking for you to grade how head coach Mike Tomlin has performed thus far in 2024. There are two main arguments to make. On one hand, the Steelers played sloppy and well below expectations last week against the Colts. On the other, Pittsburgh is still 3-1 with a first-place spot in the AFC North. That’s well above preseason expectations, and Tomlin certainly deserves some credit for getting there. What does his report card look like?
We’ll also be checking in on the Steelers’ running back situation. Najee Harris was incredibly inefficient in Week 4, with 19 rushing yards on 13 carries. Once the rest of Pittsburgh’s running back room heals up, who do you want leading the group in carries? Harris has bounced back well from bad performances in the past, but Jaylen Warren remains a more explosive alternative, and Cordarrelle Patterson looked excellent in his limited carries on Sunday (six carries for 43 yards). It’s a conversation worth having.
Vote now & check back later in the week as we break down the thoughts of your fellow Steelers fans!
