Steelers rookie slot cornerback Beanie Bishop Jr. played the best game of his NFL career on Sunday against the New York Jets, recording his first two interceptions in the pros.

However, they weren't just any two interceptions — both were off of throws from Aaron Rodgers, a future Hall of Famer and a quarterback a younger player like Bishop certainly grew up watching.

Bishop stated that he’d try to get the footballs signed by Rodgers, but he missed the Jets quarterback following the game. However, it seems he’ll finally get his wish. Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show on Oct. 22, Rodgers said he’d be willing to sign the footballs.

“Yeah, I can do that,” he said.

PennLive’s Nick Farabaugh posted on Wednesday that the Steelers equipment team will be sending both footballs for Rodgers to sign.

Beanie Bishop said the Steelers equipment team is sending both of his interception balls to New York to get them signed by Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers said yesterday on the Pat McAfee Show that he would sign both balls for Bishop.

The result will be a meaningful souvenir for Bishop, who went from an undrafted free agent to a member of the Steelers’ starting lineup to intercepting an NFL legend over the course of just a few months.
