The Steelers made a change on their practice squad ahead of Week 14’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Per a team announcement, the Steelers have signed running back Jonathan Ward to the practice squad and released defensive tackle Domenique Davis in a corresponding move to make room.
Ward was released from the Steelers’ 53-man roster yesterday to make room for cornerback Cory Trice Jr.’s return from injured reserve.
Ward has spent the 2024 season on and off the Steelers’ practice squad and active roster. He’s rushed five times this year for 22 yards, playing in four games. He’s also logged 59 special teams snaps. He’s been a go-to depth player when the Steelers suffer an injury at running back.
Davis, who was released to make room for Ward, signed with the team’s practice squad in early November. He never appeared in a game for Pittsburgh.
