The in-season version of Hard Knocks has been terrific television, and a fun look into what goes on down the stretch in the toughest division in the NFL. We’ve gotten a peak at what it’s like to be in the meeting room with Mike Tomlin and the players, as well as seeing a Heyward family thanksgiving take place. Cam Heyward was asked about his personal experience with the show thus far on the latest episode of Not Just Football.

“It wasn’t as invasive as I thought it was gonna be,” Heyward said. “They try to stay out of the way for the most part but there is some stuff we had to cut because I don’t know if it’s appropriate for young viewers or viewers in general. Especially my foul mouth. I had to tell my wife I don’t know what they expect. Like I don’t know if the kids can watch this. But it turned out great. And it always works out good when you win.”

The first episode of the series featured a scene in which we saw the Heywards’ Thanksgiving celebration taking place at the star defensive tackle’s home. We’ll see what else is to come from the behind the scenes look at Pittsburgh’s preparation for the Philadelphia Eagles this week.
