Welcome back to BTSC’s Friday night open thread:

This week, the Steelers travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. The teams always have some fun with the in-state rivalry and newcomer Russell Wilson is having some fun with it.

There’s also a fun little “something’s got to give” side narrative at play this week. The Steelers haven’t won a game in Philadelphia since the Lynden B. Johnson administration (1965) and Russ has never lost to the Eagles. He’s gone 6-0 against them in his career if you include a playoff game.

As someone who was raised to be a Steelers fan while living on the West Coast, I’m curious about what the Steelers-Eagles rivalry is like for the people who live there. What are the vibes around Pennsylvania when these two clubs face off? How would you compare this against other rivalries in sports?
