The Pittsburgh Steelers are approaching mantadory minicamp with every passing day, and are roughly two months away from training camp, where they will begin their trek back to the postseason to try and get a playoff win.
For the second straight season, the Steelers will have an entirely new quarterback room, but with one familiar face. Mason Rudolph signed with the team back in March after a year in Tennessee with the Titans. He joined “Kaboly and Mack” and gave his thoughts on what he is bringing back to the Steelers in his second stint in Pittsburgh.
“I think [the Steelers] know what I can do,” Rudolph said. “What we were able to do there towards the end of 2023, they’re confident in me. They know I can play well when asked of me [and] when my number is called.
Rudolph added that he’s not worried about any other quarterbacks coming in, nor would he be blindsided by it.
“I assumed they were going to sign people and add to the roster. They always go to training camp with four quarterbacks, so I knew that going in.”
The Steelers drafted Ohio State quarterback Will Howard in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft and are widely expected to sign four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers. Even so, the Oklahoma State product knows what he brings to the table, and so do the Steelers if and when they call upon him.
