The Pittsburgh Steelers have the majority of their key players on their roster already. Sure, they could add a No. 2 wide receiver, and they’ll need to cut their roster down to 53 players ahead of Week 1, but the players who will make or break their season one way or the other are on the roster. And while that may be the case, they could add to a position not many are talking about.
Mike DeFabo of The Athletic says the Steelers could target a veteran swing tackle to put behind Broderick Jones and Troy Fautanu.
“I could definitely see the Steelers looking for a more experienced swing tackle,” DeFabo writes. “Especially considering Jones’ up-and-down play during his first two seasons and Fautanu’s injury history.”
The Steelers have had Spencer Anderson on the roster to play that role for the last two seasons, and he appeared in all 17 games in 2024. That said, there are multiple veterans available that Pittsburgh could target should they want to go that route, such as Jedrick Wills. They could also look into bringing back Chuks Okorafor, who is a free agent.
