The Pittsburgh Steelers have been bit hard by the injury bug already through one month of the season. They have lost three offensive linemen for the season.

Center Nate Herbig was lost with a shoulder injury, however Zach Frazier has played tremendous this season and looks like he is the Steelers’ center of the future. Rookie first round pick right tackle Troy Fautanu suffered a season-ending knee injury, although they do hope he can make it back for the playoffs. And this past weekend, right guard James Daniels suffered a torn achilles and will miss the rest of the season. Amidst all of the injuries though, the Steelers seem to finally be getting some good news up front.

Star left guard Isaac Seumalo has a “real shot” to make his season debut in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys. Should Seumalo make the start, the expected offensive line from left-to-right would be Dan Moore, Seumalo, Frazier, Mason McCormick, and Broderick Jones.

The Steelers added guard Max Scharping from the Washington Commanders practice squad, so if they don’t get what they need from McCormick, or Spencer Anderson if that is the route they go, perhaps Scharping will eventually get the chance to start down the line.
