The Pittsburgh Steelers have done a lot of revamping for the second straight offseason. Out go George Pickens, Najee Harris, Justin Fields, and Russell Wilson, and in come DK Metcalf, Kaleb Johnson, and four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

One thing that needs to be at the forefront of importance when you have a 41-year-old quarterback is protection. Pittsburgh moved Broderick Jones back to his original spot at left tackle this offseason, with Troy Fautanu playing right tackle. There’s a lot of pressure on the former first-round pick out of Georgia, as he has been very up and down during his career at right tackle, and during Sunday’s practice, he suffered an injury.

Per Nick Farabaugh of PennLive, Jones didn’t go through drills after seven shots and was getting his right hamstring/quad wrapped by team athletic trainers. Mike Tomlin was asked about this after practice, and he classified Jones as “day-to-day.”

The last thing Jones needed was fewer reps. Let’s hope he is back on the field sooner than later and can get at least a drive in during the team’s first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
