The Pittsburgh Steelers have used only two picks on an offensive player in this draft, and the cycle of defensive players continues. They selected Central Michigan cornerback Donte Kent with the 229th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Steelers have already selected multiple defenders in the form of Derrick Harmon, Jack Sawyer, Yahya Black, and Carson Bruener. Black spent five years at Central Michigan, picking off two passes in that span and racking up 234 tackles. He’ll likely be competing for a roster spot during preseason as a special-teams player predominantly.
