It didn’t take long for Mike Williams to make an impact as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The veteran receiver was acquired at the trade deadline, and in his first game caught the game-winning touchdown on a go route with just over two minutes remaining.

When asked about how the play came together, Williams revealed that he hadn’t run that route since being traded to Pittsburgh and that Russell Wilson told him where to go and what route to run to set up the game-sealing score.

All week after joining the Steelers, Mike Williams never ran the route that was his winning TD catch Sunday

Najee Harris was asked about the score after the game, as well, to which he gave a very animated answer.

““I’m surprised at how the hell he even knew the play… He’s a playmaker. He’s a baller. He’s been doing it all his career… Was it surprising? No. Was it good to see? Yeah. Big Play Mike.”

The win was a big one for the Steelers as they head into Week 11 where they will host the 7-3 Baltimore Ravens with first place in the AFC North at stake.
