The Steelers continue to make roster moves on the defensive line following a number of injuries at the position.

On Saturday, Pittsburgh announced that it is placing defensive lineman Dean Lowry on injured reserve. The move makes room for the addition of nose tackle Breiden Fehoko, whose signing the Steelers also made official.

Lowry was one of three Steelers D-linemen to suffer a knee injury in Wednesday’s training camp practice. Of the other two injured defenders, Jacob Slade was waived with an injury designation on Friday, with new signee Kyler Baugh taking his roster spot. Esezi Otomewo remains on the team’s offseason roster.

Lowry, a former teammate of Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, entered the league as a fourth-round pick in 2016. He appeared in 12 games for the Steelers in 2024, making five total tackles and logging one sack. He has 85 career starts.

While Lowry was reported to have suffered a knee injury, the details of his return timeline have not been reported.
