The injury bug is unfortunately very alive and well in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ locker room ahead of Week 6’s road matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. The injury report is a busy one.
Let’s start with the good news. First off, QB Russell Wilson logged another full practice; it’s a plus that there were no setbacks in his initial return to action on Wednesday.
More good news includes a second consecutive practice for RB Jaylen Warren, who has been limited with a knee injury this week after missing each of the past two games. Though HC Mike Tomlin had originally characterized Warren as “doubtful,” there could be some optimism there if he continues making progress on through Friday.
Now for the bad news. The biggest surprise of the day was the addition of TE Pat Freiermuth to the injury report on Thursday, listed with a calf injury after practicing in full on Wednesday.
Not unexpectedly, OLBs Nick Herbig, DE DeMarvin Leal and RB/KR Cordarrelle Patterson did not practice on Thursday, having already been announced as out for the week during HC Mike Tomlin’s weekly press conference.
Here’s a look at the full practice report for Thursday’s practice ahead of Week 6.
