The Pittsburgh Steelers made a flurry of roster moves on Tuesday, the team announced. Among the moves was the placement of guard James Daniels on the injured reserve list after it was confirmed on Monday that he had suffered a torn Achilles in Week 4’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Other moves included the signing of OG Max Scharping to the active 53-man roster from the Washington Commanders’ practice squad. Meanwhile, cornerback Darius Rush and safety Jalen Elliott were released from the active roster. Rush was active for Weeks 1 and 2, while Elliott was active in Weeks 3 and 4, both having been relegated strictly to special teams snaps.
The Steelers now have two spots on the active roster following those moves.
The team also made several transactions on the practice squad Tuesday, including the release of FB Jack Colletto and LB Macrus Haynes, signing LB Eku Leota and RB La’Mical Perine in their places.
