The Pittsburgh Steelers are 3-1 and coming off their first loss of the season in a 27-24 defeat at the hands of the Indianapolis Colts. Justin Fields had a tremendous second-half performance, leading the Steelers on three consecutive touchdown drives, rushing for two scores and throwing a touchdown to Pat Freiermuth to bring the Steelers back from a 17-0 deficit and give them a chance to win.
Ahead of the Steelers’ Week 5 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, head coach Mike Tomlin said he expects quarterback Russell Wilson to do more work in practice this week. When asked if he was still preparing for Fields to start in Week 5, Tomlin gave a two-word answer: “I am.”
Fields threw for 312 yards and rushed for 55 yards in Week 4, marking the first time a Steelers quarterback has thrown for 300 yards and rushed for 55 or more yards in the same game since Kordell Stewart in 2001. Fields is currently 13th in the NFL in EPA per play – higher than C.J. Stroud and Patrick Mahomes.
