The Steelers were busy on Tuesday, making three roster moves as they prepare to take on the New York Giants in Week 8. Per a team announcement, the Steelers placed defensive tackle Montravius Adams on injured reserve, signed cornerback C.J. Henderson from the practice squad to the active roster, and signed defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko to the practice squad.
Adams suffered a knee injury against the Jets and will now miss a minimum of four weeks.
The Steelers filled Adams’ roster spot with former first-round cornerback C.J. Henderson, a roster move that was reported yesterday.
The Steelers then filled Henderson’s spot on the practice squad with veteran defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko. Fehoko first signed with the Steelers in August of 2023, spending most of the year on the practice squad. Entering the 2024 season, Fehoko was placed on season-ending IR but later was released with an injury settlement, making him eligible to re-sign with the Steelers later in the season. Now, he has a chance at being a gameday elevation at some point this year.
The Steelers next take the field on Monday, Oct. 28 against the New York Giants.
