The Pittsburgh Steelers recently released their former first round pick, Terrell Edmunds, and are now bringing in another former Steelers safety to get back into the fold.

The Steelers are signing Eric Rowe to their practice squad, the team announced. Rowe appeared in the team’s final three regular season games in 2023 and their Wildcard game against the Buffalo Bills and he played fantastic. He had 37 tackles in those four games, as well as an interception in his first game as a Steeler in Week 16 vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. He also forced a fumble in Week 18 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Considering the fact that injuries are always a part of football, having Rowe be available should anything happen, or even if they just want to call him up because they deem him capable of being a difference maker, this is a terrific signing at this point in the year adding valuable depth in the form of a guy who has been in the building before.
